2019年，中国—中东欧国家合作（以下简称“17+1合作”）在各方共同努力下，领域续有拓展、内涵不断丰富、规模逐步扩大、水平持续提升，彰显了强大的生机与活力。机制实现首次历史性扩员，“16+1合作”扩容为“17+1合作”。2019年被确定为中国—中东欧国家教育、青年交流年，系列相关活动亮点纷呈。中国—中东欧国家合作与中欧互联互通平台对接，助力“一带一路”建设。
In 2019，China-CEEC （“17+1”） cooperation expanded in both quantitative and qualitative terms，demonstrating great vigor and vitality. The membership enlarged for the first time since its inception，increasing from “16+1” to “17+1”. The year was designated as Year of Education and Youth Exchange，and a series of events were organized. The 17+1 Cooperation had synergized with the EU-China Connectivity Platform，contributing to high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
