Since Scott Morrison took office,Australia, guided by the Indo-Pacific strategy, has actively expanded its relations with the United States,Japan and India, and has paid more attention to the Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. There has been a significant change in Australia’s China policy, which caused the deterioration of the bilateral relations. Overall,Australia’s foreign policy is limited to its middle power status, which manifests three characteristics:limited goals, dependence on the United States, and ambivalence toward China.
