The Afghanistan strategy marks Trump administration’s first comprehensive regional strategy，which includes all the three aspects of core interests of the United States and four core pillars. Given the global strategy of the United States，the regional power dynamics and the power struggles within the Afghan government，the Trump administration has changed the strategy. However，the new Afghanistan strategy faces some serious challenges：the intensifying debate in the United States，the power struggle within Afghanistan，as well as the complexity of the regional situation. The United States must broaden its strategic vision，formulate the comprehensive Afghanistan strategy in order to take advantages of the strength and wisdom from all relevant parties for the final solution to the Afghanistan issue.
