In recent years, the frequency and intensity of clashes between political thoughts have increased worldwide. The COVID-19 Pandemic further accelerates this trend, and distinct models of fighting the pandemic have uncovered the ideological differences between countries. The characteristic of political thoughts in the pandemic is threefold:first, the increasing challenges of de-globalization has shaken the dominant status of Liberalism as the fundamental ideology in the West, which has further provoked the right-wing populism;second, the revival of nationalism not only drives Conservatism away from Liberalism, but pushed various schools of thoughts toward extremist directions;and third, distinct models of combating the pandemic have underlined the tension between ideologies, which breeds new thinking about the relationship between the state, society and citizens. There has been a common challenge facing mankind for going beyond ideological contradictions and eliminating the four major deficits of the current world.
