2018年，柬埔寨瓦斯维安德面具舞成功申遗，被联合国教科文组织列为“急需保护的非物质文化遗产”。当前，柬埔寨政府通过积极申报非遗项目、完善国家非物质文化遗产名录、制定文化保护政策、筹办非遗周年庆典活动、加强与世界非遗领域的合作与交流等举措，进一步宣传、保护与发展国家非物质文化遗产。
In 2018，Cambodia’s Lkhon Khol Wat Svay Andet was inscribed on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding by UNESCO. At present，the Cambodian government is taking measures in order to further propagate，protect and develop national intangible cultural heritages，such as actively applying for intangible cultural heritages，completing the national intangible cultural heritage list，formulating cultural protection policies，celebrating the anniversary of intangible cultural heritage，and strengthening the cooperation and exchanges with the intangible cultural heritages in the world.
