Household appliance subsidy in rural area is a substantial program included in the stimulus package of the Chinese Government to weather through the global financial crisis. It aims to，by governmental subsidy，enable farmers to purchase more household appliance，and thus share the achievements of social advance. This program also helps house appliance manufacturers to expand their market to the countryside while reducing their overcapacity. However，this program is not without adverse effects，including environmental pollution. How to deal with such problems becomes one of the key research topics in regard to environmental protection in the countryside，new countryside construction and even the overall building of modern China.
