After the Hand-over, Macau's economy, of which gaming industry is the main engine, has gained a miraculous development. Gaming liberalization, the important reform adopted by Macau government ten years ago, created the institutional foundation for the high speed development of the gaming industry. During the ten years since the gaming liberalization, Macau's gross gaming revenue has had a ten times increase, propelled by which, Macau's GDP has increased about 4 times. This has founded the solid economic base for Macau's social and political stability as well as the prosperity of Macau people's daily life. In the mean time, by marketizing gaming industry, the gaming liberalization has become a leading activity to marketize the whole Macau economy and improve its capitalism system. The ten years anniversary of gaming liberalization is a day worthy to be commemorated.
