The year of 2018 is vital to Macau’s higher education when the cause of higher education has maintained a steady progress and become increasingly prominent. The number of registered students and teachers has grown，and the quality of research has improved significantly. At the same time，higher education regulations，the policy of “four-institution joint entrance examination” and funding have been consistently adjusted and improved. Three major features of Macau’s higher education at present have been concluded then，including a significant macroscopic design，an improved institutional structure and the deepening of its own advantages，demonstrating that Macau’s higher education has taken stability and multi-dimension into account on the basis of its precise self-positioning. The future of Macau’s higher education is supposed to unceasingly deepen its internationalisation，diversification and high-quality development goals，grasp valuable development opportunities，create Macau’s special majors，and forge a notable brand of Macau education.
