澳门特区回归以来，澳门特区社团总体上延续着多元发展的格局，社团数量迅猛增加，社团密度快速提升，社团类型更加多样，社团活动领域及其功能更为广泛。同时，与澳门特区回归之前相比，无论是在社团的数量与结构，还是在社团内外部关系及功能方面，都出现了一定程度的调整与变化，整体表现出优势与问题并存的局面，社团总量快速增长与单个社团存续短、社团高密度与社团现代性发育不良、分布广泛与发展失衡、功能多元与能力不足相并存。2013年，澳门特区迎来新一届立法会选举，在选举效应的作用下，澳门特区的社团生态与发展格局无疑又将出现新的变化。
Since the handover,Macau associations have generally maintained the trend of diversified development.The quantity and density of associations have increased rapidly.The category of associations has become more diversified.The activity areas and functions of associations have become more extensive.Compared to the times before the handover,associations in Macau have experienced a certain degree of adjustment and changes in different aspects,including their quantities,structures,functions as well as internal and external relations.In general,the advantages and problems of associations coexisted.The quantity of associations grows rapidly,but some of them cannot survive long;the density of associations is high,but the modernity of associations is inadequate;the type of associations is pluralistic but unbalanced;the function of associations is diverse but not competent.In 2013,Macau will hold a new legislative election.Under the effect of the election,the ecology and pattern of associations in Macau will undoubtedly have new changes.
