自然环境、城市景观、文化遗产是澳门民间保育运动近年所关注的三个方面。自澳门回归、赌权开放和自由行政策实施后，社会经济快速发展，城市环境发生剧变，导致发展与保育之间的矛盾日深，使民间保育运动在这几年频繁出现。综观本澳这几年的保育运动，主要有三大特点并体现于2013年发生的多项保育运动之中：以传播理念为主、运动组织松散、建制外行动。另外，《城市规划法》与《文化遗产保护法》于2013年正式通过，将对本澳未来保育运动的发展产生影响。
Natural environment，urban landscape and cultural heritage are the three major concerns by activists of non-governmental conservation movement in Macau in recent years. Since Reunification，the liberalisation of the gaming sector and the implementation of the Individual Travel Scheme，the consequent rapid social and economic development has resulted in a dramatic change in urban environment. The conflicts between development and conservation have deepened，leading to frequent conservation activities within the community. Experiences in recent years show that the conservation movement in Macau are characterised by dissemination of ideas，disorganisation and extra-institutional actions. These characteristics have also been fully demonstrated in a number of campaign activities in 2013. On the other hand，the approval of the Urban Planning Law and the Cultural Heritage Protection Law by the Legislative Assembly in 2013 would bring some influence on the future development of conservation movement in Macau.
