根据测算，2016年安徽省的社会发展指数为0.37，较2015年的0.35略有上升。安徽省各个地区的排名较2015年有所不同，其中变化最为显著的是芜湖市、马鞍山市和合肥市，这三个地区经济发展迅猛，带动了社会的不断发展，三个市的排名都上升了，分列为第一、第三和第四。其他各市的发展指数变化不大，排名的顺序也没有太大的变化。总体来看，2016年安徽省大部分地区的发展水平超过平均值，即高于全省发展水平，但与2015年相比，又多了一个市的发展水平低于全省平均水平。
According to calculations，social development index for Anhui Province in 2016 is 0.37，a slight increase over the 0.35 of 2015. The rankingsof different regions in Anhui Province are also different from that of 2015，with Wuhu City，Maanshan City and Hefei City exhibiting the most significant changes，all of which are strong in economic development，which in turn promotes constant social development，and boosts their ratings，ranking first，third and fourth respectively. The development indices of other cities show no significant changes，so do the rankings. Taken as a whole，the level of development for most regions of Anhui Province in 2016 is above average，namely，above provincial average，but compared with 2015，one more city ranks below provincial average in terms of development level.
