In 2017，Anhui Province has actively practiced the new concept for development，and achieved a series of outcomes in areas such as economy，society，politics，culture and ecology. The economy has on the whole remained stable，with development shared by urban and rural residents；the spirit of the 19th Party Congress has been rigorously studied，and reform of administrative institutions is orderly carried out；investment in key projects is on the increase，which provides incentives for social development；high and new technology industries are steadily growing，and sci-tech innovation is leading the world；projects for people’s livelihood are steadily conducted，and equality of basic public services is bearing fruits；multiple forces converge to fight poverty，and precision poverty alleviation is significant in outcome；development of a culturally strong province has entered a new stage，and Hui style and culture are resonating overseas；ecological civilization has refined itself，and Three Big Revolutions are contributing to new landscapes；county-wide economy is gaining momentum，and reform of ownership rights has promoted rural rejuvenation；a new pattern for coordinated regional development is taking roots，and hub cities accelerate its rise. Major problems facing Anhui economic and social development in the new era include：pressure for economic downtown is increasing，and there is still a long way from high quality development；despite effective sci-tech innovation，the province still ranks low nationwide；environmental quality remains to be improved，and situation for environmental management is rather grave；material poverty is alleviated，but spiritual poverty is becoming a headache；brain drain is on the increase，and population dividend is not sufficiently shared. Regarding the existing problems for Anhui economic and social development in the new era，this report offers corresponding policy recommendations.
