近年来，越南经济社会发展迅速，2018年越南全面完成了预定的12项经济社会发展指标。2019年，在全面完成上年度经济社会发展任务的基础上，越南提出了经济、文化社会、国防安全和党建工作优先实施的核心任务。在社会主义定向市场经济的框架下，越南政府将积极推进国有企业结构的重组和民营经济的发展，实施海洋中长期发展战略，加强党的建设，为现代化建设提供制度保障。越共十二大提出了要主动、积极融入国际社会，越南大力开展多边外交、经济外交和文化外交，扩大与深化与主要伙伴国的关系，对外关系取得新进展。
In recent years，Vietnam has achieved a rapid economic and social development，and fully finished the defined twelve economic development targets in 2018. In 2019，Vietnam government proposed new core missions covering economy，cultural society，national defense security and party construction. Under the framework of socialism directed market economy，Vietnam government actively promote the restructuring of state-owned enterprises，the prosperity of private enterprises，the medium and long-term development of marine economy，and the strengthening of party construction which is the institutional guarantee for the modernization drive. The 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam proposed that Vietnam should take active measures to integrate into the international community，as well as expand and deepen its relationship with major partner countries through vigorously conducting multilateral diplomacy，economic diplomacy and cultural diplomacy.
