People-to-people exchanges are an important part of the relationship between big countries. In the history of Sino-Russian exchanges of more than three hundred years， people-to-people exchanges have continued. After Sino-Russian relations entered a new era and a new stage， the strategic position of people-to-people exchanges rapidly increased and became an important part of the five major areas of cooperation between China and Russia. The people-to-people exchanges between China and Russia are rich in content and in various forms. This paper selects three cases of Sino-Russian theme year， “Wanli Tea Road” project and “Red Tourism” cooperation as the research object， summarizes the experience and characteristics of Sino-Russian people-to-people exchange on the basis of case analysis， and analyzes the strategic significance of Sino-Russian humanities communication. Sino-Russian cultural exchanges are of great significance not only to Sino-Russian relations， but also to China's cultural exchanges with other countries and the establishment of a “community of human destiny”.
