With the deepening and continuous implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative,Chinese outward investors start a new round of digital investment in ASEAN countries and digital “Belt and Road”. Indonesia has become the first choice for investment. Indonesia’s digital economy started late,but with demographic dividend and policy dividend,it has a rapid development momentum and the largest market in Southeast Asian countries. At present,Chinese enterprises’ investment in Indonesia’s digital economy is mainly concentrated in the fields of e-commerce and Internet finance. The main problems faced by the investment are the restrictions brought about by the lagging development of Indonesia’s digital infrastructure,industrial ecology,public services and supporting scientific research,as well as the difficulties of disordered competition. This report points out that Chinese enterprises’ investment in Indonesia’s digital economy should focus on compliant operation,cooperative operation and localized development.
