In view of the importance of institutional soft environment for economic development, this paper uses the data of Doing Business(2017-2019)issued by the World Bank to make a systematic analysis of business environment in Indonesia. It is found that in recent years,Indonesia has significantly improved its power supply, access to credit, protection of minority investors and other aspects, and the overall ranking of business environment has increased;however, there are still some problems in terms of contract execution, business start-up and cross-border trade, such as the complicated procedures and high costs. This paper argues that in the current business environment in Indonesia, when Chinese enterprises invest in Indonesia, investors need to further understand the policy differences, correctly identify investment opportunities, and do a good job in risk prevention.
