Shaanxi Province is the starting point of the ancient “Silk Road”. It has a long history of trade and cultural exchanges with Central Asia region，being China’s earliest “window” for foreign exchanges. It is also the first place in China to introduce，absorb and re-create foreign cultures. It has witnessed the main context and the multicultural characteristics of human civilization and cultural development in ancient Asia and Europe with rich historical and cultural resources. Since the “Belt and Road” initiative was put forward，Shaanxi Province，as an important node along the route and a demonstration base for agricultural technology exchange training under framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization，has proposed and implemented a series of follow-up projects with its own characteristics，and further actively promoted strategic integration and local cooperation with Central Asian countries as well as explored new models of economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges.
