The adoption of the Sargentini report resulted in an uproar cross Hungary and Europe. Judging from the public discussions and resolutions of the European Parliament on the issues concerning Hungary，the nonfeasance of EU institutions，the increasingly severe politicization and the poor communication between EU institutions and member states foreshadow such an ending. Although some Hungarian opposition parties advocate the report，the Orban government also strengthens its domestic popularity through it. Further implementation of the Article 7 will have to meet some prerequisites. However，the friction between Hungary and the EU will not disappear，and the problems behind these frictions merit close scrutiny.
