本报告通过对2018年国际出版业现状分析、海外涉华图书出版特点和主要议题、中国出版“走出去”成果的系统梳理,呈现了2018年国际出版业和海外涉华图书出版的特点,分析了中国出版“走出去”过程中面临的机遇和挑战,并对下一步中国出版“走出去”发展提出了思考。报告认为,在国际出版业转型升级、国际涉华图书需求加大的背景下,伴随着中国综合国力增强,国际社会对中国关注增加,人工智能和新媒体技术发展日新月异,中国出版“走出去”要继续优化选题内容、丰富合作出版形式、加强国际发行策划,借力新技术,用图书讲好中国发展故事,提升中国出版话语权。
This report analyzes the current situation of the international publishing industry in 2018,including the characteristics and main topics of China-related books published overseas and the achievements made by Chinese publishers while exploring international market. It particularly examines the opportunities and challenges facing Chinese publishers at international markets,and gives some insights into what Chinese publishers should do in the next when they “go global.” The authors argue that against the backdrop that the international publishing industry is undergoing the transformation and upgrading,overseas demand for China-related books is increasing,and the artificial intelligence and new media technologies are advancing rapidly,Chinese publishers should continuously optimize the topics they cover and improve contents,diversify forms of cooperative publishing,strengthen international distribution planning,and use new technologies to tell good stories of China’s developments.
