中东欧国家的自然禀赋、历史演进、思想文化、社会形态等方面的独特之处，使其在不同历史阶段，乃至在当今时代，都引起世界范围内的广泛关注。《中东欧国家发展报告（2016～2017）》努力从政治、经济、社会、文化、外交、安全等多个视角，对中东欧地区的整体面貌和国别情况给予关注，同时对中国与中东欧国家开展的全方位合作进行梳理，力求成为中国政府部门、经济部门、文化部门以及普通民众了解中东欧国家的一个重要平台。
The Central and Eastern European countries（CEECs）are unique in natural endowments，historical evolution，ideological culture and social forms，which causes worldwide concern at different historical stages and even in the modern era. “CEECs Development Report（2016-2017）” aims to give an overview of the whole picture and of the individual state development from the perspectives of politics，economy，society，culture，diplomacy，and security，reviewing the general cooperation between China and CEECs. The report strives to become a platform for Chinese government，economic and cultural sections，and for ordinary people to understand CEECs.
