From 2018 to 2019,the international situation became increasingly complex. Sino-U.S. trade disputes continued to be tense and began to spread to other fields,such as science and technology. The prospects of Sino-U.S. competition and its impact on the international order increasingly became the focus of international attention. As China’s “Belt and Road Initiative” continued to expand amidst doubts and debates,the international community began to pay more attention to it. The international security situation in 2019 was also full of uncertainties. In addition,non-traditional security challenges,such as energy issues,cyber-security,and climate change,continued to plague the international community. Faced with these new situations and changes,think-tanks and research institutes paid close attention and put forward their own analyses and suggestions. This report examines the top international think-tanks ranked in the “Global Think-Tank Report 2018” and reviews their relevant research and published reports in 2018-19.
