中国社会科学界存在着一定的将中国模式与西方模式对立的倾向，这为评估中国模式的经验与教训带来一定的难度。作为“内在的他者”，香港能够为中国模式的发展提供“实然”的经验与参照。香港利东街居民以非暴力社会运动的形式参与城市拆迁与规划的过程，为内地城市拆迁中屡屡出现的暴力事件提供了很好的反思性经验。而香港特区政府、公民社会组织以及社会个体对非暴力的公共政治的共同追求和维护，为我们讨论中国模式的政治维度带来了重要的启示。
The development of Chinese Model needs more reflection and discussion. The disposition that set Chinese model on the opposition to Western model makes the comparison and reflection difficult. As an inner other of China，Hong Kong’s public politics provide a parameter and experience of ‘isness’ for Chinese model while bypass the trap of ‘oughtness’. The residents in Leetung Street of Hong Kong launched a famous social movement to participate the urban renewal and planning in a non-violent way，which can be a good lesson for Chinese mainland where there are many violent events in urbanization. It is the common pursuit and maintenance for non-violence of Hong Kong government，public institutions，civil society，and individuals that brought us some important enlightenment for the political dimension of Chinese model.
