This article focuses on the bilateral relations between Brazil and the United States in 2017-2018. During this period，the development of bilateral relations between Brazil and the United States was mainly reflected in trade and investment facilitation，as well as aviation，national defense and space industry. Although the Brazilian government hopes to establish closer ties with the United States，especially to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries，its effectiveness is limited. The Brazil-United States relation is mainly affected by two variables：the political and economic crisis in Brazil and the new orientation of United States politics in the Trump administration，that is，the United States first. In addition，like other countries，Brazil has been influenced by the “fair trade” model adopted by the Trump administration.
