布基纳法索位于低缓的高原，属热带草原气候；经济以农业为主，种植业规模不断扩大，畜牧业在衰退；矿产资源较为丰富，黄金分布广、产量大，锰矿、铜矿、锌矿也有一定规模，发达国家矿业公司介入较多。作为一个内陆国家，它与多个国家毗邻，地缘战略位置重要，国内和邻国矛盾均会对布基纳法索经济社会发展构成威胁。在中非发展合作背景下，基于复交基础上的中布合作具有重要的现实意义。在综合分析布基纳法索经济地理现状的基础上，本文认为中布在农业发展合作方面潜力巨大，前景可期；交通基础设施建设和供水合作需求也比较旺盛；矿产资源开发领域既具有合作潜力，也面临风险和国际竞争压力。
Burkina Faso is a landlocked country with a low plateau，a tropical grassland climate and landscape；Burkina Faso’s economy is dominated by agriculture，with farming expanding and livestock farming in decline. Burkina Faso’s economy is also rich in mineral resources with wide distribution of gold，manganese ore，copper，zinc ores. Developed countries mining companies more involved. As a landlocked country，it is adjacent to many countries，has an important geostrategic position，and domestic and neighboring conflicts will pose a threat to the economic and social development of Burkina Faso. As a large country outside Africa，China’s cooperation with Burkina Faso is of great practical significance in the context of China-Africa development cooperation. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the current economic and geographical situation in Burkina Faso，this paper believes that China and Burkina Faso have great potential in agricultural development and have promising prospects. There is also strong demand for cooperation in transportation infrastructure and water supply. There is potential for cooperation in mineral resources development，but also risks and international competitive pressures should be concerned.
