The digital economy has gradually become the main engine driving the city’s economic development. Development in all fields has accelerated，digital technology innovation has continued to achieve new breakthroughs，digital infrastructure construction has been advanced in depth，the level of digital public services has been continuously improved，the cultivation of benchmark enterprises has achieved initial results，and the international cooperation in the digital economy continues to deepen. As a result，Beijing’s path to building a benchmark city for the global digital economy has demonstrated its unique advantages and characteristics，which are reflected in the launch of benchmark policies，advanced layout of digital infrastructure，multi-party cooperation to support ecological construction，industrial chain development to promote the formation of clusters，and the emphasis on digital talents cultivation. However，Beijing still faces some problems in building a benchmark city for the global digital economy，such as the need to make breakthroughs in the construction of the data element market，the operation of new digital infrastructure still needs to be optimized，the artificial intelligence industry needs to increase data supply，and the development of digital economy industrial parks needs to be accelerated，etc.. Therefore，in the future，Beijing needs to further strengthen policy guidance and market supervision，optimize infrastructure construction and operation models，increase data supply and talent training，and promote the development of digital economic industrial parks to achieve the goal of building a benchmark city for the global digital economy.
